Water and Sewer Payments / Signups
Due to the current City Hall Building closure, Fairfield Municipal Utilities is currently on minimal staffing levels. We will return all inquiries/voicemails the same business day (7:30-5:00 p.m.)
The City provides water and wastewater services, the latter with the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District, and bills residents and businesses according to rates approved by the City Council and the District. Use these links to access the reports on Water Rates and Water Quality.
Sign Up For New Water And Sewer Services
At least one business day before services are required, visit the cashier window in City Hall lobby during business hours. A water account application form may be completed online prior to visiting the cashier window in City Hall lobby. A valid California driver's license or picture ID is required for utility service sign-up. Proof of property ownership or a copy of your rental/lease agreement is also required. To cancel services, you must contact utility billing at least one business day prior to the cancellation date requested. All requests to cancel service will shut water off on the morning requested.
Online Payments / Billing / Pay by Phone
You can Pay Your Bill Online by registering your account to gain access to account information, such as bill history, water usage history, as well as access to online payment of bills through your credit card or checking account. To get started, you will need a copy of your bill.
Registering online allows you to schedule monthly payments to be paid on the date due and receive email alerts when your statement is ready for viewing.
To pay by phone using a credit card, please call 866-207-6045 and have your account number ready.
