The Fairfield Farmers’ Market starts on Thursday, May 5, (Cinco de Mayo!) from 3 to 7 p.m. in downtown Fairfield, at Webster and Texas streets. Shoppers can look forward to delicious, hot and ready meals, and an incredible variety of local California produce. Groceries, gifts, and incredible dining options will also be available.
May’s entertainment roster is already full. The ever-popular Folklórico Juvenil Danzantes Unidos de Vacaville and the Yuppie Liberation Front (Latin Moods and Grooves with Alex Agius) will be performing on May 5 in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. If you like mambo, cha cha, and bolero, wear your dancing shoes! On May 12, Eddie Davis & Friends are in the lineup, playing Brazilian bossa, nova, and jazz standards from the Blue Note Records era of the early ’60s. Holy Spirit Catholic School’s music program joins the lineup on May 19, performing selections from their spring concert. On May 26, Ariel Marin, award-winning multi-genre singer, will perform anything from Fleetwood Mac to Motown, Sade to Top 40, and your favorite classics!
The farmers’ market accepts WIC-FMNP (Woman, Infants, and Children Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program) coupons and CalFresh EBT. Families can take advantage of our Market Match program to double the purchasing power of their CalFresh/EBT benefits. This means that EBT benefits spent in the market will be matched up to $10!
