Arvinda Krishnan was born in Fiji and moved to India after high school to pursue higher education. After completing a degree and certification in accounting, he migrated to the United States and settled in the Bay Area.

Arvinda worked in the private sector as an accountant for 10 years before joining the City of Fairfield as an accountant. In 2014, he retired from the City as the accounting officer overseeing the Financial Reporting Division and its investments. He was elected as City Treasurer in 2016 and 2020, and his term ends in 2024.

Active in the community, Arvinda serves as a director on the board of Solano First Federal Credit Union and volunteers as the chief financial officer for Child Haven. He also volunteers to deliver meals for Meals on Wheels.

Arvinda and his wife, Suganthi, moved to Fairfield in 2004, and have two daughters who are currently pursuing degrees in medicine. They both share a common interest in community service, international travel, and cooking.
