The public is invited to attend the Brick Breaking Demolition Ceremony on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. at the former Bank of America site at 1120 Texas Street in downtown Fairfield. The Brick Breaking Demolition Ceremony marks a significant milestone in the City’s downtown revitalization as the entire block will be razed, clearing the way for the vision of the Heart of Fairfield strategic plan. This project will further the City’s efforts to reestablish downtown as the civic, entertainment, residential, and cultural core of Fairfield. City leaders will kick off the demolition.
