The City of Fairfield is planning to have a Fairfield 101 – Civic Academy for Fairfield residents starting on Thursday, September 7, 2023, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., and every Thursday following that date through November 9. If you are interested, you can get an application online at fairfield.ca.gov. There are only 25 spots available, and they fill up quickly, so if you are interested, apply soon! Applications are due Monday, August 31, 2023. 

 The Fairfield 101 – Civic Academy:

• A 10-week interactive program designed to share how local government works.
• It gives residents first-hand exposure to the inside of City departments and a chance to discuss current issues with community leaders.
• This program gives residents an opportunity to gain insights on how to become more involved at the local government level.
• Each 2 ½ hour session is dedicated to learning the ins and outs of each City department.
• The classes are interactive, and participants get to meet City leaders, take tours, visit various City facilities, and learn about different programs.
