What is the Art in Public Spaces Policy?

The purpose of the Art in Public Spaces Policy is to create the operating guidelines and procedures for the City to administer and manage works of public art in Fairfield.

The General Plan and Heart of Fairfield Specific Plan identifies the development of a public art program. Further, the Heart of Fairfield Downtown Economic Development Roadmap recommends investment into the downtown as a food and arts district. The funding and implementation of public art serves as one of the strategies to economically revitalize the downtown, enhance its physical image, and improve the quality of life for residents.
