The Youth Services Unit establishes and maintains a close partnership with school administrators and students of the Fairfield-Suisun Unified and Travis Unified School Districts. The Youth Services Unit has several programs designed to build trust with the youth of Fairfield while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment to learn. Our School Resource Officers can be found at the High Schools, Middles Schools and the Public Safety Academy.
In addition to our highly visible School Resource Officers, the Fairfield Police Department also offer several other unique opportunities to build relationships with our youth.
We are also proud to have an active Police Explorer program. Police Explorers is designed for young men and women, 14-21 years of age, allowing them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to serve the people of Fairfield through discipline and commitment. Police Explorers can be seen helping with community service events, participating in ride-alongs and competing in Explorer Competitions. If you are interested in becoming a Police Explorer please contact Officer T. Brownridge
