eTRAKiT allows unregistered users to view property information. Registered users are able to obtain certain types of basic residential building permits, schedule inspections, pay associated permit fees, and view licensed contractor information.

Residential Projects Eligible For Online Permits:

(Do not submit ADU projects, commercial projects, and other projects not described below, through eTRAKiT--please email these projects and associated forms and plans to building@fairfield.ca.gov in order to apply for these other types of building permits.)

Notes:

*The Owner-Builder Verification form is not required if the applicant is a California licensed contractor.

**California law requires smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to be present at all required locations, and to be verified at the time of building permit inspection of any alteration requiring a building permit.  The applicant must fill out the Smoke/CO Detector Self-Certification form and present this form to the Building Inspector in order to final the permit.

Please note that based on the project specifics, our staff may request additional information prior to issuing the permit.

All completed electronic forms required for the respective permits must be uploaded to the eTRAKiT permit form under the "Attachments" section.
